The year is 2030 and the social safety net of Germany has collapsed. PM Lena Bach must figure how to handle the expanding crisis

In Berlin in the year 2030, young Tim Burdenski is found seriously injured on the Gendarmenmarkt. Following an emergency call from a cab driver, he is taken to hospital but dies despite a delayed emergency operation. Journalist Lena Bach begins to investigate, as the 30-year-old is one of ten so-called "millennium children" who have been followed by a television team in a long-term documentary since his birth on January 1, 2000. All of them come from the middle class.

June 17, 1953 - the day on which workers in the former Soviet Union took a stand against their government for the first time to protest against excessive labor standards. The protests escalated into a political uprising, which was only ended by the Soviet army using tanks. 50 years later, the docudrama "The Uprising" captivatingly depicts the historical events of those days that threatened to unhinge the SED system.

An immensely rich woman, no longer young, returns to the town she had to flee in disgrace as a teenager. She can, she intimates, give the community the financial help it desperately needs. But there's a catch.

After a few years working like intern, Till, eventually becomes head of his own company, job counseling for young trainees. In turn, comes Sydelia, left-wing activist, idealist and combative. Their paths will soon cross youth. She is determined to start it the capitalist world in which we now live in a revolutionary way. But really, two people so different can be attracted?

2030 CE is a Canadian children's TV series that aired for two seasons on YTV in 2002. It aired in the U.S. on HBO. The series was created by Angela Bruce, Dennis Foon and Yan Moore. A third season had been planned, but was cancelled after financial supporters backed out.It was filmed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
